Welcome!

On behalf of the Executive, thank you for supporting the Ancaster Community Skating Program. The 2011-2012 season is here and skaters are sure to enjoy lots of learning and fun. Our staff is ready and eager. Head Coaches for this season are Teri-Lyn Plas (Pre-Beginners to Can Figure) and Leead Gittens (Power skating and Adults).

We welcome the return of Teri-Lyn to the Learn to Skate and figure skating programs and congratulate her on her position as Head Coach. Teri-Lyn has been a figure skating coach with the program for the past 12 years. She began skating at the age of 3 with the Saltfleet Figure Skating Club. Teri-Lyn maintained her enthusiasm for skating by volunteering with the Ancaster Community Skating Program. She has competed in events through the Dundas Figure Skating Club and achieved awards locally. Teri-Lyn's experience and positive personality are a welcome addition to our club.

Leead is moving into his third year as Head Coach of the Power Skating program and has been an instructor for many years after learning to skate with the Ancaster Community Skating Program as a child. He brings his focus on improving skating, agility and balance to the Power Skating program, so the students are successful in their goals.

Your comments and support are, as always, a necessary part of our success.
